It says an LTO-6 is $3,000. Let's say it lasts long enough to play back 50 tapes on average. (I'd hope it's a lot higher.) A 50,000 tape library either needs to spend $5.75M on new cartridges, or buy 1,000 drives for $3M so they can sit out a generation or two (or three). Sounds like market opportunity to me.
