Sounds like they're testing the software - not to see if it will behave as expected, but to make sure the pilots behave as expected. <grin>

Nothing like watching a newbie to realize what kluges remain in the interface. <no g> But I suspect it might also be a PR ploy. "Pilots trained less then you tried it and came out ok".
