I guess both my age and the age of my airplane puts me firmly into this section.

Never ask a woman her age. How old is your airplane?

The airplane just turned 70. The only person who've I've ever flown in it who was older than it was my dad.

Your plane was born in a good year.

The annual's coming up, but I'm not going in with a page of squawks. There is a little bit of an oil seep in one of the left valve covers. I'm hoping it won't be as bloody an endeavor as last year, when there was a brake issue, or three years ago, when I had the windshields replaced. That was worth it. The piano hinges on the cowling started to show some broken teeth this summer. Crap like that always seems to happen around OSH, when every parts house is either shut down or is on greatly reduced staffing.

I've been trying to concentrate more on landings and thinking more about what I'm doing. It's kind of fun as the airport keeps the grass alongside the runway mowed for those who want to use it.

As an answer, I don't plan on going VFR if there's a schedule involved, to avoid being infected by get-there-itis.
