    Wilmington is such a population center that, by law, all state offices in Dover (the capital) must be duplicated in Wilmington for public access. Also, KPHL is the closest point inside the city limits to Wilmington. Part of KPHL is in adjacent Tinicum Township, Delaware County, even closer to Wilmington.

    Not much airline service to the entire Eastern Shore peninsula.

    And from the northern part of DE, where most people are, Philly is real close.

    ILM has had airline service for years. It's a long drive from there to Delaware, however. ;-)

    (Wilmington North and South; Charlie West and South; and then there's Fayetteville and Fayetteville....I know someone who thought they were going to NC and ended up in AR).

    Just ran across an assertion that there is no airline service to Delaware. Seems to be true at the moment, although KILM has had on-and-off service in the past.
