Stopped there for fuel on the way home (PANC) from Oshkosh. Stayed for the museum.

If you haven't read or listened to "Race of Aces" yet, I strongly recommend it. It really fleshes out all of the pilots in the SWPA in much more human and contextual ways that most stories do not. My appreciation of Bong, McGuire, and the others really was enhanced. And, there's a couple of names from here that some of the old-timers will recognize who get a mention, too.
