  • OSH ‘98

It just occurred to me that 20 years ago, we lost two Sigrats who were enroute to OSH.

And 19 years ago, we lost another one on final to 27.

Scott, wasn't Ben's CFIT in the mountains? That would leave three more, wouldn't it?

            Ward,
Ben was told to slow it up on final to 27; he was S-turning and got slow. RIP.

I remember Ben in '99. Who were the two in '98?
              regards, Rod

I thought Ben was in ‘98. Steve Connors was CFIT. Hit Mt. Rearguard at about 11,700’ AGL in the middle of the night.

Yeah. Connors hit the mountain, Ben was at OSH doing S turns. I think of him every time I do S turns on final and pay close attention.

I was standing on the wing of the T-34, and saw the smoke.

No, Ben was 99. I was there, and I was only at OSH for 99 and 00 shows.
