Thanks. I spent enough time thinking about it and discussing it with people online and in person.

I don't recall, but it was a packed weekend.

Arrived mid-afternoon on Thursday. Eight hours class room and a 1.8 hour flight on Friday. Late morning 2.2 hour on Saturday. A nice nap , banquet, then fly home on Sunday.

Over 20 Mooneys on the ramp. 20 students, plus some instructors flew in.

Did you see Pete there? N231QM with his new panel, interior and paint. He was in from Spokane, now at White Plains.

The more I fly my new panel, the more I like it.

Did 6.9 hours, 0W3 (NE Maryland) to Fort Worth} non-stop to attend a Mooney Safety Foundation Pilot Proficiency Program and 7.0 back.

Total of 17.7 hours over 4 days.

I kinda want to be able to get to the immediate essentials of the CBs while not being able to see. Too many collars and I can't tell the A/P and Trim CBs from the others.

I figure that while the CBs for trim and a/p are "immediate' items, for the rest including gear motor I'll have some time to pull the breaker if I need to do that. But you're still keeping it clean and that's good. I see some client airplanes with every other breaker collared and not sure how they differential those at night?????

I added Speed Brake and Gear. That is enough.

Speed brake as some people pull the breaker if any ice, as they can ice open.

Gear in case you have to do an emergency extension, you don't want to mistakenly try to put them up.

I put colored collars on the AP and Trim (red), Start (Yellow) and Alt 1 and 2 field (orange.

What other CBs should be highlighted?

When I was flying Cobras in Vietnam we would put safety wire on the armament system circuits breakers. Instead of trying to find the circuit breakers all we had to do was pull on the safety wire.

If AP is on, it flies 7 degrees nose up and wings level.

If Flight Director is only on, it commands the same

For TO, it gives you some FD guidance for low IFR until you are high enough to engage AP (min 800 AGL) and start following a heading or your course.

For GA, it gives you AP setting for the initial time to clean up the plane and get the power set. Then you can transition to the missed if needed.
