          There can be an endpoint as well. My father, an Electrical Engineer, worked on a countermeasures project which couod throw a grid of 100 blips, one of which was the actual airplane. Another turned 270 degrees of the receiver's display white, along with several other effects. The Soviets couldn't keep up so they just put seriously poweful radars on their fighters which simply cut through all the crap.
          Geology rocks, but geography is where it's at.

            Garmin has a remote DME module now. Supposedly firmware updates will allow GTN-x50Xi units to do DME/DME navigation
