    Generally, a very poorly written article, but here is one real howler: "The FAA estimated that the new routes would reduce about 6,000 minutes of travel time a year."

    Let me think...6,000 minutes, 10,000,000 (domestic) flights per year...

      Each one of those minutes will be eaten up by metering delays.

        Not hard to do. 6000 minutes, after all is 100 hours/ year or .036 seconds per flight.
