Portage, Wisconsin attempting to close C47 airport

I know airports aren't really FAA, but this section seemed as good as any. It seems the City of Portage, Wisconsin is going to attempt to close their airport. For anyone nearby who might wish to drop a note, some info is in the screen shot below. Unfortunately, this all has come about very recently, so I haven't been able to find a better link for further info.

I heard that due to opposition, they tabled this plan. Who knows where it will go from there.
