New Message Notification But None There

Today, I got a message notification on the upper right hand side of a Reply to Dave's P Baron.


I didn't see it in any of the sections, and when I clicked on the notification I was taken here:



There wasn't any thread, or message.

What's up?

I saw those too -- I'm guessing they were/are private sections to which we don't have access, but the code that shows new messages list must not check whether or not a viewer has access to those sections. At least, that is my guess.

Dave just uploaded some aircraft photos to his profile gallery, and per John's theory the message filter snagged that action and displayed it in the summary. I'll see if there's a way to filter that filter.
