TACAN to VOR/DME

For those who have tried to figure out the conversion from a TACAN channel to a VOR/DME frequency I use the following formula -

TACAN Channel X VOR/DME Frequecny

17 - 59 106.3 + TACAN Channel

70 - 126 105.3 + TACAN Channel

(If a TACAN Y channel add .05 to VOR/DME Frequency)

SHP TACAN Channel = 45, the VOR/DME Frequency = 110.8.

The TACAN channels not listed are for military use only.

I didn't know there was a formula, I just carried a card with the frequencies.

I just dialed the TACAN channel into the box. Or VOR frequency into the that box.
