Seems strange that they are using a hand held mic, and not a Blue Tooth headset.

It does allow coordination between the crew and a PTT capability.

I had NASA's YouTube channel up and then turned the TV on ABC just before launch. NASA's YouTube was about four seconds ahead of ABC. It was weird to look back and forth between the two.
