Blue Origin's "New Glenn"

Blue Origin's new rocket "New Glenn" is big. Knew the launch was going to be loud and impressive.
Our house is 24 miles straight line distant from SLC-36, the launch site. So yesterday Melody and I drove the jeep down to port Canaveral and watched the launch from only 6.6 miles away. Other than a short launch time delay, not disappointed. The rumble n crackle were significant. Loved seeing the interest evidenced by the crowds of fellow space kadets there.

I hadn't seen any significant press on the New Glenn launch, and read up on it after seeing your post, Tom. Very impressive, Blue Origin came out of relative obscurity behind SpaceX, launched 2 spacecraft to Mars, and soft landed a booster on a barge. Good show! Bezos, like Musk, has his problems but this was quite the accomplishment by any definition. It must have been a joy to see the launch.
