I have been a CFI for more than 20 years and have no idea how many of my former students are active pilots.
This week, one I DO remember was in town for the holidays. Steve was my student when he was still in high school, but today he is flying F/A-18s for the U.S. Navy. I was sitting in the FBO lobby waiting for my next lesson when he came in.... I said, "Do you remember anything I taught you?"
His reply was priceless: "I remember EVERYTHING!"
