You'd think so, but last I heard the Navy claims the COD's have never put a man in the water.

Sadly no longer so, if it ever was. Last year saw a tragic ditching of a C-2 in the western Pacific. Without Googling, ISTR they lost the pilot, a crew chief and one passenger. I have not seen the results of the Judge Advocate General’s report published. (May still be under review)
